Raised on the Farm, Ready for the World 🐾
At Varangian Anatolians, our Anatolian Shepherd puppies are raised in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula, surrounded by the sights, sounds, and experiences of everyday farm life. As they grow, they'll be gradually introduced to children, cats, other dogs, goats, chickens, and perhaps even the neighborhood cows who occasionally stop by for a visit!
Through gentle, age-appropriate socialization and supervised introductions, we're helping our puppies develop confidence and familiarity with the people and animals they'll encounter in their future homes. After all, these little ones are growing into magnificent Anatolian Shepherd livestock guardian dogs, and their early experiences matter! ❤️

October 15, 2026 | First Veterinary Visit — Seven Healthy Anatolian Shepherd Puppies! 🐾
We're thrilled to share some wonderful news from Varangian Anatolians, our Anatolian Shepherd breeding program in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula!
On October 15, Eden and her seven beautiful AKC Anatolian Shepherd puppies attended their first veterinary examination, and everyone received a clean bill of health!
Our veterinarian confirmed:
All seven puppies are growing beautifully and gaining weight.
No cleft palates were detected.
No hernias were found.
Every puppy received an excellent health assessment.
Mama Eden is healthy and doing wonderfully!
After a week of round-the-clock care, watching these little ones grow and thrive has been such a rewarding experience. Hearing our veterinarian confirm that both Eden and her puppies are doing so well was a wonderful milestone for our family.
Their next veterinary appointment will be in approximately seven weeks for their first vaccinations.
At Varangian Anatolians, we're proud to raise our Anatolian Shepherd puppies with attentive care, plenty of love, and an appreciation for the remarkable livestock guardian dogs they will become.
We're excited to continue sharing updates as Eden and Zion's October 2026 litter grows, develops, and prepares for their future homes.

October 22, 2026 | Our First Little Eyes Are Opening! 👀🐾
Happy two-week birthday to our seven little potatoes! Today brought an exciting milestone for Eden and Zion's Anatolian Shepherd puppies—our sweet Purple girl was the very first to open both eyes! 💜 Not long after, our big Grey boy surprised us by becoming the second, although his little eyes are still just beginning to peek open. 🩶
Along with their adorable, wobbly first steps, these little ones are beginning to discover a whole new world! We're so excited to watch the remaining five puppies reach this milestone in the coming days.
