Zion is the steady, observant heart of our working dogs and our primary livestock guardian on the farm. He spends much of his time with our goats, chickens, cats and ducks where his calm nature and natural awareness really shine. Zion tends to watch first and react when necessary, carrying the quiet confidence and independence we value so much in the Anatolian Shepherd.

With unfamiliar people, Zion is reserved and prefers to take his time deciding who belongs in his circle—sometimes over several visits. Once you're in, however, the serious guardian gives way to an enormous, affectionate baby who is more than happy to collect treats, attention, and plenty of petting. He is generally laid-back, deeply bonded to his animals and family, and very much our big working boy.
